History: In late 1997, parallely to the new Power Macintosh G3, Apple re-named the ColorSync displays and discontinued the AppleVision displays. The ColorSync displays were now called ColorSync 17" and 20" display. The ColorSync display series was discontinued with the release of Power Macintosh G3 (Blue & White) and the new Studio Display series. The ColorSync technology, however, remained beyond that the industry standard for color management.
